Code of Conduct
CFA is committed to providing a positive, respectful, and development-focused environment for all players, families, coaches, and staff. By registering, Parent and Player agree to the following standards of conduct.
1. Player Conduct. Players are expected to treat teammates, opponents, coaches, referees, and staff with respect at all times; follow the reasonable instructions of coaches and staff during all CFA activities; refrain from any form of bullying, harassment, hazing, discriminatory language, or unsportsmanlike behavior; avoid physical altercations, intentional fouls intended to injure, or other dangerous conduct; and represent CFA with integrity at games, tournaments, and any event where the Player is identified with the club.
2. Parent/Guardian Conduct. Parents and guardians are expected to support a positive environment for all players, not only their own child; refrain from confronting, criticizing, or directing coaching instructions to any player, coach, referee, or opposing team member during games or training; address concerns about coaching, playing time, or club matters through appropriate channels rather than directly with coaches during or immediately after games/practices, or with players; and refrain from any verbal abuse, threats, or physical altercations at any CFA event or facility.
3. Coach and Staff Conduct. CFA coaches and staff are expected to prioritize player safety, development, and well-being above competitive outcomes; communicate with players and parents respectfully and professionally; apply discipline fairly and consistently, without favoritism or discrimination; and comply with all CFA policies, including those related to social media, transportation of players, and one-on-one contact with minors.
4. Anti-Discrimination and Anti-Harassment. CFA does not tolerate discrimination or harassment on the basis of race, color, religion, sex, national origin, disability, or any other protected characteristic, by any player, parent, coach, or staff member.
5. Reporting. Any violation of this Code of Conduct, including concerns about player safety, abuse, or misconduct by any individual associated with CFA, should be reported promptly to club leadership. CFA will investigate reports in good faith and take appropriate action, which may include warnings, suspension, or removal from the program.
6. Consequences of Violations. Violations of this Code of Conduct may result in disciplinary action up to and including suspension or permanent removal of the Player and/or Parent from CFA programs and facilities, at CFA's sole discretion, without refund of fees paid, except as otherwise addressed in the Refund Policy.
7. Acknowledgment. Parent and Player acknowledge that adherence to this Code of Conduct is a condition of continued participation in CFA programs.
